Circuit Cooperative is a new company.
We are an autonomous association of human beings united voluntarily to meet our common technical and creative needs through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled enterprise.
In other words, we are a managed-service provider – with an important difference: we are owned and run by our members.
The cooperative’s services range from full-stack web application development to merchandise design and sales, with a focus on finding ways to provide low-cost technical alternatives to artists and small businesses that follow our values and

- protect the artists’ ownership and privacy
- are easy to use
- can be deployed within hours
The cooperative intends to lean heavily on high-technology and bleeding edge research to provide advantages to artists and small businesses.
Our wish is to work together to stem the tide of artificially generated art, disingenuous middlemen, and increasing pressure on artists to endlessly produce “content” rather than create art.
Similarly, small businesses face the never ending corporate hegemony of most marketplaces, and struggle to find advantages online when competing against companies with much larger teams and budgets.
In a world where advertising dominates the marketplace, high-technology has evolved to serve the needs of executives. If you use a free service, chances are they are collecting personal information, selling that information for a profit, and then using that information to create specific targeted advertisements directly to you.
A symptom of this modern market and the current service-oriented economy is that it stamps out communities, and discourages collaboration. This divides people and stifles originality, authenticity, and creativity.
